On 9.05.2019 the Musikstudio Ohrpheo Berlin celebrates its tenth anniversary! - In the period from May 9, 2009 until today more than 300 concerts with mostly new music, performances, exhibitions, readings (music and philosophy), workshops (course on new music), political events (e.g. Alleppo-Berlin, Friendship for Peace, BGE for artists) and film evenings with artists from all over the world were organized. We celebrate this event with the four-day festival EnCounterpoints 2019. This year's motto is: Trans-lation-scription-mission.

EnCounterpoints 2019 brings together the most diverse genres of New Music, from improvisation and real-time music to electronic music, performance and premieres of composed pieces and transcriptions. In five concerts by unique artists there will be encounters and counterpoints between music, literature, philosophy and painting. These reciprocal touches open up new spaces and forms of design and perception.

Ohrpheo's birthday evening begins with a welcome reception and a few brief introductions. The violinist and performer Biliana Voutchkova will then improvise to ornamental pictures and sculptures by Anett Lau. The impulses triggered by Annet Lau's paintings and installations are "transferred" into the language of music.

The events of the EnCounterpoints festival are sponsored by the Pankow District Office.

Ornament - Pattern - Space are my artistic focus. I am interested in the structures according to which spaces are structured, arranged, decorated and functionalised. For this purpose I look for traces of human activities that are represented as patterns of action in space. Existing or found spaces with their limitations are questioned with the artistic means of the art of ideas/explorative according to the ideas that connect people with this place. My goal is to change the existing "action patterns" of the place according to the ideas of the protagonists. Found materials, such as wallpaper and forms, become a matrix that I perceive as an expression of human order. I overdraw, collage or cut and print these existing patterns and ornaments and install them in the space.
