Fidan Aghayeva-Edler | Toy Piano

PRIMAL PATTERNS is a mini-series of concerts that take place as showcase concerts at different venues in Berlin. As part of the program, pianist Fidan Aghayeva-Edler will perform five older and three new works for Toy Piano composed explicitly for these concerts and one improvisation.

The theme "Homeschooling/Parenting in the Lockdown" serves as a nexus for the works in the project. The performance dates will be evenly distributed throughout the spring, with performances in Weißensee, Charlottenburg, Prenzlauer Berg, and Wedding. The concert program will be streamed live at least once via Youtube and Facebook.

Online presentation of the third movement (III. Adagio molto) of Beethoven_off_set (or I take it back, the ninth symphony) as a score video. Interviews about the orchestral piece with Fritz Schütte (journalist and author) and the participating artists.

Preview and talk about 'Elise, shut up! The video is an interdisciplinary project by Dana Widawski and Andreas F. Staffel for the Beethoven Year 2020/2021.

The solo repertoire of electric guitar is enriching itself everyday. “Cratere”, the solo electric guitar concert, that takes the title from the piece by Lorenzo Troiani, is an overview on the current situation of the electric guitar and focuses on short form and pieces. A concert of solo electric guitar is a travel through thousands of sonorities madexp with just one instrument and the eletricity in one evening.

Because of Covid-19, unfortunately only a limited number of 12 people is allowed. There are only a few places left on the guest list. Registration (strongly recommended under: info@ohrpheo.de). The concert will be broadcasted on Youtube (https://youtu.be/p2Tbrai0yms) as live stream.

From April we will offer you online concerts. The start will be made on April 23, 2020 by the duo Andreas Neufeld (violin) and Tatjana Neufeld (piano). The program includes sonatas by Brahms and Debussy as well as the world premiere of Uber short or long (7 pieces for violin and piano) by Andreas F. Staffel.

On the occasion of Beethoven's 250th birthday, Italian and German songs by Beethoven, a concert aria and selected piano works will be performed. You can also experience excerpts from the conversation books, fragments of his everyday life: when he could no longer hear, Beethoven used conversation books to write and communicate in everyday life. Surprisingly, these books have been preserved!

(The programme was first performed in December 2019, as part of the Beethoven Bei Uns festival)

The motto of the concert, reed, evokes the most diverse associations. One associates idyll, something songlike, but also campfire romanticism with reed. The widely ramified root system of the plants, the rhizome, on the other hand, evokes completely different associations. On the one hand single shoots grow up to 3 cm a day, on the other hand 6000 year old intact systems have been found. At the beginning of the 1970s, Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari took up the image of these structures as a metaphor and developed the philosophical concept of rhizomatics, thereby providing essential impulses for the theory of science, media philosophy and cultural studies, among others. The program of the evening picks up the manifold possibilities of association of the rhizome in some aspects.
