Marina Khorkova gives music lessons for beginners and advanced students, for young people, small and very young children: early musical education, piano lessons, keyboard lessons, composition lessons, ear training, harmonics lessons, singing and instrumentalist's repertoire, preparation for examinations, concert preparation.
After her studies as a pianist, Marina Khorkova studied composition at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory from 2000 to 2005 and from 2009 to the beginning of 2012 with Prof. Caspar Johannes Walter at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart.
In addition to scholarships from the Paul Sacher Foundation, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg, she also received scholarships from the Villa Aurora (Los Angeles), Schloss Solitude (Stuttgart), Künstlerhof Schreyahn (Wustrow), Villa Sträuli (Winterthur) and Künstlerhaus Otte (Eckernförde).
Marina Khorkova's work has been awarded the DAAD Composition Prize, the Ernst-Krenek-Prize (Impuls Festival Graz) and the Staubach Honorarium of the Darmstadt Summer Courses. Her works are performed at numerous festivals all over the world, including the Bludenzer Tage of Contemporary Music, reMusik in St. Petersburg, MicroFest in Los Angeles, Internationale Ferienkurse für Neue Musik Darmstadt, Steirischer Herbst, Wittener Tage für neue Kammermusik, Frau Musica (nova) in Cologne and the Festival of New Music "Moscow Autumn". The interpreters include international formations such as Klangforum Wien, Trio Accanto, Thürmchen Ensemble, hand werk, Ensemble ascolta, LUX: NM, Kairos Quartett, soundinitiative, Proton Ensemble and Camerata Variabile Basel.
