Theo Nabicht

Born in 1963. Studied (saxophone, flute and piano) from 1983 to 1987 at the Berlin Musikhochschule "Hanns Eisler". 1995 to 1997 studied bass clarinet (master class) at the Conservatoire de Strasbourg. After 1985 stage experience in joint projects with musicians such as Bert Wrede, Mauro Gnecchi Thierry Madiot, Michail Alperin, Werner Dafeldecker, Anthony Braxton, Peter Kowald and Fred Frith.
Nabicht has been a member of the Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin (KNM) for many years and was a guest of the "Klangforum Wien" and the "Ensemble modern". He has worked as a composer for theatre, dance and television productions. In recent years he has increasingly devoted himself to solo performances with a focus on compositions by contemporary composers and his own works.
Today Nabicht is mainly engaged in the performance of contemporary music, improvised music and composition in various genres. Since 2007 he has been playing the Selmer double bass clarinet by Wolfgang Stryi's with the kind support of a person who sees himself as a silent patron.
