Covid-19 hygiene concept: The Covid rules that are current for Berlin apply. Since 15.01.2022, this means for Berlin: In closed rooms, the 2G-plus model including FFP2 mask obligation must be applied for events with more than 10 participants.
Lecturer: Andreas F. Staffel
The First World War was a major caesura and had a great impact on the work of composers of that time. Exemplary for this are the music theater work 'Die Geschichte vom Soldaten' (1917) by Igor Stravinsky and the opera Wozzek (1925) by Alban Berg, in each of which a soldier is the main character.
Both works will be the focus of our evening. In addition to excerpts played on the piano, historical recordings will also be heard. Furthermore, we will experience the fascination of the so-called "golden twenties" in jazz-oriented piano works by Schulhoff and Hindemith.
